       经区自然条件适宜农业生产。建区后，随着农田改造、农业机械化和新技术推广应用，农业生产和农村经济不断发展。1993年，全区农业总产值7469万元，种植业、渔业、牧业分别占23.75%、71.5%、4.75%。之后，农业产业结构不断优化调整，产值收益明显提高。2010年，全区粮食总产量17331吨，花生总产量4499吨，水果总产量27894吨，水产品总产量47018吨。农业总产值6.87亿元，种植业、渔业、牧业分别占31.08%、56.43%、12.49%。
