    1945年9月， 县政府设卫生科，配副科长1人，翌年增加科员1人。1947年秋卫生
科撤销， 卫生行政管理由乳山县地方医院代行。1951年重设卫生科。1958年8月改建
卫生局， 10月随县撤销。复县时重设卫生局，1967年卫生局由爱卫会办公室取代。1
968年10月卫生行政管理工作由乳山县人民医院负责。1970年4月恢复卫生局。1992年
共有工作人员13人，设政工科、医政科、计财股等。1995年在编人员15人。
