    1990年9月，乳山县邮电局开办无线寻呼业务，引进邮电部上海第一研究所产YCF
-12 1型无线寻呼设备，初装容量1000部。当年无线寻呼用户100个。1992年，全县有
无线寻呼发射机2部，无线寻呼操作终端机2部，无线寻呼用户396户。1993年1月，开
办移动电话通讯业务， 当年无线寻呼用户1011户，移动电话用户195户。1994年无线
寻呼用户2027户， 移动电话用户372户。1995年建900兆赫蜂窝移动电话基站1个，移
动电话信道30个。年底无线寻呼用户达到4337户，移动电话用户达到805户。
