    境内有天福山林场（面积240公顷）、草场庵林场（面积70公顷），2个林场均为省政府划定的生态公益型林场，功能定位为保护培育森林资源、维护生态安全。有国家级湿地公园——五垒岛湾湿地公园，省级湿地公园——青龙河湿地公园。2019年，全区实有林地面积47127.43公顷，林木覆盖率28.35%，当年完成营造林面积1290公顷，实现林业产值28.43亿元。
