80年代前，境内艺术品和土特产品主要有锡镶品、绣花品、地毯（挂毯）、望岛牌刀及剪、豆面酱、海参、虾米、花生等。至2002年，随着威海工艺美术厂、山花地毯集团公司等被国家旅游局批准为全国旅游商品定点企业后，锡镶品、地毯（挂毯）和“四海”牌面酱等产品开发看好。
