2003～2007年，邮政储蓄是邮政支柱业务，向着规模化、专业化方面发展，存款余额不断增长，服务功能不断增强，先后实现银联跨行业务、即时发卡业务、ATM 24小时服务、电子汇款即时到款等新功能。2003年，邮政储蓄余额6.25亿元，完成利差收入1300万元。2007年，邮政储蓄余额12.67亿元，比2003年增加6.42亿元，实现利差收入2395万元，比2003年增加1095万元，年均分别增长19.3%、16.5%。
