 2007年，全市有21个少数民族成分，共1.2万人。其中，有回族人口1.1万人，分布在边院、安驾庄、汶阳、王庄4个乡镇、21个行政村及城区和矿区。其中边院镇15个村（前黄、后黄、夏庄、马新宅、凤凰、宋庄、大王、北仇、岔河店、古店、兴隆、北湖、边院、南庄、西李庄）、1935户、8136人；安驾庄镇3个（陈家埠、肖家埠、升家庄）、425户、1568人；汶阳镇1个（吴店）、29户、119人；王庄镇2个（演南、演北）、21户、130人。少数民族聚居村有中共党员686名，其中少数民族党员191名；两委干部96人，其中少数民族26人；少数民族村支部书记8名。
