    在市委、市政府的领导支持和老干部的积极倡议指导下，党史史志办公室与共青团肥
城市委、市民政局及各乡镇党委政府一道，在全市开展了建立爱国主义教育基地工作。1997
年底，已建成马虎台、马家堂、棋石岭、安驾庄、虎门、项白屯等教育基地6个，占整个计
划的40%。教育基地为各乡镇进行爱国主义教育提供了生动的历史教材，创造了便利条件。
