    习称穆阁寨或木阁砦，位于牛山主峰。有石砌寨墙数百米，顺山势蜿蜒而行。寨墙南侧和西侧各
有一拱形寨门，上有石刻“穆阁寨”三字。寨内有一水池，常年有水，称之为饮马池。寨内残存屋基
数处。寨南有火连沟、柳(溜)沟、擒将河等。传说北宋时期穆桂英及其父穆羽，因不堪忍受枢密使王
强的迫害，招兵买马，构筑山寨，在此避难。孟良、焦赞攻打穆柯寨不下，放火烧山，“火连沟”因
此而得名。
