    又名“茵陈蒿”或“白蒿”。市内各地均产，生于山野和路旁。蕴藏量2万多公斤。1983年，最
高收购量近4500公斤，每年收购后均供省内外药用。
    中医学上药用全草，但以嫩茎、叶为佳。于每年春季初出土时铲挖采收。其特点为叶片肥厚，气
味清芬。经理化测验，含有茵陈烯、茵陈酮、茵陈素、叶酸、绿厚酸、咖啡酸等成分。经去泥、除杂
和晒干，即为成品。
    茵陈，性微寒、味苦，入胃、肝、胆经。为利水、渗湿药。有除湿退黄之功能。主治湿热黄疸、
传染性肝炎和身热尿赤等症。疥疮身痒，也可煎汤外洗。水浸饮用并有降血压的作用。
