    境内栽培栝楼已有百余年的历史，是全市重点产区之一。
    旧时，农户多在庭院或宅旁、闲院内种植，产量低。建国后党和政府重视栝楼生产，扩大了种植
面积，1960年达到了30余亩。1978年后，以小王、大王村种植最多，全镇达100余亩。1985年全镇种植
面积200亩，收入30万元。
