    老城镇的栝楼距今已有100多年的种植历史，是山东省重点产区之一。
    中共十一届三中全会以后，随着党的富民政策的落实，药材价格的提高，栝楼生产又逐年有所发
展。到1995年，全镇已新栽120亩。目前，除供应当地中药店外，每年尚能交售给国家1000余公斤。
