【人口状况】    2015年末，全市常住人口96.26万人，同比增长0.2%。其中城镇人口54.87万人，同比增长4.53%，农村人口41.39万人，同比下降5.02%。2012—2015年，全市年平均出生率为10.78‰，平均自增率4.57‰；合法生育率97.25%，出生人口性别比106.8:100。
  
【民族概况】    肥城为全省24个民族工作重点县（市、区）之一，共有少数民族26个，总人口1.17万人。其中回族人口占99%，主要分布在边院、安驾庄、王庄、汶阳4个镇、21个行政村及城区和矿区。少数民族1000人以上的乡镇有边院镇、安驾庄镇、新城街道；少数民族人口超过50％的民族村有9个，纯少数民族村有前黄、后黄、升庄3个。
