    建国前，境内流行流脑、脑炎、麻疹、疟疾、黑热病、白喉、破伤风、天花、结
核等10余种传染病， 每村年均死亡人数5-8人。建国后，区政府和医疗机构对天花、
伤寒、 霍乱、绦虫等传染病，集中查防、治疗。对500例结核、300例流脑、130例白
喉、破伤风病人，跟踪服药治疗。对10名麻风病人，劝其住进了县麻风病医疗村。年
注射狂犬疫苗100例，年治疗出血热15例。建国初治疗疟疾病达4000多人次，1981年，
仅5人发病，1985-2000年达到国家消灭疟疾的要求。
