    清末，境内人口平均寿命，男28岁，女31岁，平均29.5岁。民国时期，男32岁，女35岁，平均33.5岁。建国初，男45岁，女49岁，平均47岁。1985年，予期寿命男66.96岁，女70.98岁，平均68.92岁。1982年全县有百岁老人3人（皆为女性），最高的108岁。至1985年底，健在的1人。
