    建国初，东平县政府民政科管理劳动就业工作。1956年始设劳动科。至1962年撤，业务归计划委员会管理。1970年设劳力办公室，负责劳动就业、职工福利、劳动保护等工作。1971年，撤劳力办公室，业务划归计划局。1975年设劳动局，有局长1人，干部2人。1985年劳动局有正副局长各1人，调研员1人，干部职工8人。局以下新设劳动服务公司，负责调节、吞吐社会劳动力，统筹劳力就业，办理就业前培训，待业青年安置等工作。
