    建国前，水土流失面积250平方公里，其中，严重的170平方公里。因基本无控制措施，面积继续扩大。1949～1952年，控制水土流失面积20平方公里。1953～1957年，达85平方公里。1962年增至115平方公里，其中，效益显著的仅有7平方公里。由于逐年采取了修建水平梯田、淤地坝（闸山沟）、修建塘坝、水库、挖鱼鳞坑和封山育草、植树造林等措施。至1985年，控制水土流失面积171.8平方公里，占原有水土流失面积的68%。
