2015年，东平县生物资源共计有684种，其中动物资源158种，植物资源526种。在动物资源中，禽类57种，兽19种，水生动物27种，昆虫39种，爬行、两栖动物16种，这四种动物称为兽鱼虫类。在植物资源中，食用植物82种，材用植物245种，观赏植物199种。
