1986年以来， 随着经济的发展，  人民生活水平逐步得到改善和提高。
1993年，全镇干部职工平均月工资284元，农民年均纯收入960元，分别比1986
年增长75%和200%。农民衣、食、住、行皆有了新的变化。对待五保老人做
到老有所养，1992年建起镇敬老院1处，入院老人达55人。
