    1954年，县农技站、种子站建立，隶属县农牧局。同年，建伏山区农技站。1955年，城关、蒋集、葛石、东疏、鹤山、城南、堽城等区农技站先后建立。1956年乡饮区建立农技站。至此，全县12个区均建立农业技术推广站。1958年，工作人员发展到35人。同年，建立县农业科学研究所，1960年撤销。
    其他专业科技推广、应用机构，几经演变，至1985年，有县科技情报研究所、环境保护监测站、土肥站、农技站、植保站、种子站、水产站、水机站、林业站、森保站、气象站、宁阳农场等12处，共有工作人员71名。
