2016年，完成大汶口文化博物馆主体工程验收、大汶口国家考古遗址公园入口区项目建设，遗址核心区三项工程建设、大汶口古镇区部分建设以及滨河景观带建设。《大汶口遗址核心区展示工程》等工程设计方案并获国家文物局及环保部门的批复，为风景名胜区建设奠定项目基础。大汶口文化风景名胜管委会内设四个职能科室,核定全额事业编制14名。
