    农历十二月初八为“腊八”节。是日，城乡居民多用大米（或小米）、豆类、红枣、莲子、核桃仁、桂圆、花生等熬食“腊八粥”，预祝来年五谷丰登。另外，很多人还保留着腊八当日用醋腌制“腊八蒜”的习俗。
