    2003年来，区总工会开展“金秋助学”活动。每年都要调查摸清困难职工、特困户子女有关信息，并及时填报《资助特困大学生推荐表》等资料。至2007年，累计筹集资金368.1万元，救助困难学生4949人，其中小学阶段2730人，中学阶段1208人，大专以上1011人。
