汶河（牟汶河）流经泰山区东南区境，境内长21公里，宽500米，自然形成流沙河，河床宽且浅，对其治理历年采取培修堤防、修筑护岸和挑水丁坝等措施。1963～1965年，国家投资对牟汶河北岸逯家庄长800米的险工段砌石护岸。此后至2000年底，此河段未进行治理。
