    邹城市西部地区地势低洼。建国前，农田受洪涝、盐碱灾害十分严重。建国后，按照“以排为主，排灌结合”的原则，建设农田沟洫台田工程，结合疏挖河道，发展机械排水，使涝洼盐碱地变成良田，成为全市高产稳产的“粮仓”。
