    1954年，县政府建设科设兽医组，负责全县畜牧兽医工作。1956年改为畜牧兽医工作站。1958年滋阳、曲阜合县，建曲阜县畜牧局。1962年1月两县分治，撤销畜牧局，畜牧工作并入县农林局。1977年成立畜牧局，有干部职工8人。1984年5月撤销畜牧局，成立农牧渔业局。1989年3月恢复畜牧局。1993年12月机构改革，改为畜牧服务中心。1995年底，服务中心有干部职工27人，内设综合办公室、畜牧技术推广站、畜牧服务站、财务科、老干(部)科、人事科和兽药、兽医卫生监督检验所，辖兖州市畜牧兽医工作站。
