    1899年(清光绪二十五年)，兖州邮电局办理邮政汇兑业务，称汇寄银行。民国期间汇兑业务分普通汇票、电报汇票、高额汇票、定额汇票及小额汇票5种，兖州邮政局汇兑业务以普通汇票及小额汇票为主。
    建国后，此项业务曾进行多次调整和改革。1953年前普通汇票一直沿用三联汇票，1953年开始改为剪格式汇票。1957年用二联式复写汇票，汇票改为内走，使用单独设计的汇套。1962年取消汇套，改为汇款通知单，沿用至今。1958年开始办理电汇业务。随着经济的发展，汇兑业务收入逐年增加，1978年为2.05万元，1987年为3.64万元，1990年为11.33万元，1995年达到20.30万元。
