    颜回并不是颜氏家族中第一个以颜为姓的人，但在颜氏族谱中，颜回却被尊为第一世祖，其后世
子孙称为颜子第几代孙。这主要是因为在颜氏家族中，颜回的社会声望最高。他生前勤学善思，以礼
修身，达到名冠孔门弟子之首的境界，死后被儒家学子奉为楷模，尊称为“颜子”，历代帝王屡加封
赐，直至尊为“复圣”。
