    旧时地方官府无专门婚丧管理机构。 男女成婚听从“父母之命” ，以双方交换
“成亲字”、“庚贴”为证据，离婚则以男子“休书”为契。丧事由本家族或地方绅
士办理。

    建国后，婚姻及丧葬均由县(市)民政部门主管，县以下区、乡(公社)人民政府依
法办理，1985年始各区(乡)、镇设立婚姻登记站，具体办理婚姻登记工作。村、街自
发组织红白理事会，具体办理婚丧事宜。
