    1956年1月，县政府设水产科，负责渔政管理工作。1980年，县水产局设渔政股。1986～1989年，渔政股改为行政股，1990年又改为渔政站。渔政管理包括：发展渔业生产，保护水产资源，严禁使用损害幼鱼、幼虾的捕捉工具和方法；禁止有害污水、污物排进渔业水域；水利工程和其它建设事业都应保护渔业水域环境的安全和清洁。1984年，县政府颁发了有关保护水产资源的布告，明确取缔鱼鹰、密网、密箱、端把、拦河灌、圈堰等；严禁用药毒鱼、炸鱼及电捕鱼。
