    县境危害林木、果树及农作物的虫害多种。50年代危害最重的是蝗虫灾害。1950～1960年，全县共发生蝗灾4次。其中，1950年受灾面积210公顷，1951年受灾面积374.3公顷，1955年成灾面积1733.3公顷，1960年受灾3.4万公顷。70年代后，注重了药物和生物防治，蝗灾得到控制。进入90年代，棉蛉虫普遍发生，危害严重。
