    清代，县署工房理农桑。民国初期，县署设劝业所，管理农业。1925年，劝业所改组为实业局。30年代，国民党县政府建设科管理农业。
    1946年6月，县民主政府设建设科，兼管农业。1951年，县人民政府设农业科。1956年改设农业局。1961年10月，农业局改称农林局。1963年10月撤销农林局，恢复农业局。1967年，县革命委员会成立生产指挥部，管理全县农业。1970年12月设立农林局。1973年4月，农业局和林业局分设至今。
