    金乡县位于山东省西南部，南四湖西。地跨北纬34°52′～35°40′，东径116°7′～116°30′之间。东邻鱼台县；西靠成武、巨野两县；南与单县及江苏省丰县交错；北与嘉祥县、济宁市郊区相连，北距济宁市50公里。金乡东西最大横距26公里，南北最大纵距41.5公里，总面积880.56平方公里，边界全长212.9公里，整个轮廓呈“耳”形。
