    清雍正年间（1723～1735），始设金乡汛，属兖州镇曹州营，后改属曹州镇巨野营。金乡汛设把总1员，骑兵6名，步兵35名，负巡查、守御诸事之责。另有民壮20名，马快8名随营训练，助于防卫。旧金乡城南隅有营署演武厅。宣统二年（1910）废绿营，裁城汛。
