    境内为黄泛冲积平原，面积为880.21平方公里，由于黄河泛滥时流向流速的不断变更，形成复杂的地貌地形，有微斜平地、缓平坡地和洼地。
    微斜平地，地势平缓，比降一般小于1/8000，地面高程35～37米，土层深厚，地下水源丰富，土壤多为潮土类，分布于各乡镇。
    缓平坡地是河流泛滥漫流沉积而成，按地面形态可分为缓岗、岗坡、洼坡三种。
    洼地由静水沉积而成，根据地面形态又可分为浅平洼地、背河槽状洼地、碟形洼地。洼地的边缘与地面的高差为0.5～1米。
