    民国时期，鱼台人民深受战乱、灾荒之苦，人口增长缓慢。1919年全县有195631人，至1949年发展到206261人，30年间，增加10630人。
    建国后，经过4次人口普查，人口总量依次为：1953年，212595人；1964年，224776人；1982年，333248人；1990年，392678人。
