    1963年，境内开始办理侨汇业务，当年办理7笔，合计金额490元。1966～1976年“文化大革命”期间，侨汇业务曾一度中断。1976年，重新恢复。1978年中共十一届三中全会后落实侨务政策，侨汇逐年增加。1986年办理46笔，金额43256元，为1963年的88.3倍。
