    建国后，供销社除自身购销网点外，还利用城乡代购代销店和为数众多的货郎担代为收购。1953年，收购杂铜1.6吨。1956年，收废钢铁61.6吨，杂铜18.9吨，废锡75吨。1958年，组织废品突击回收，全县收购废钢铁1160吨，杂铜53吨，废锡47.7吨，废橡胶1.8吨，破布124.3吨，废纸30.6吨，杂骨57吨，废苘麻36.3吨。此后，收购势头下降，1978年后有所回升。1979年，全县收购杂铜5.7吨，废锡1.1吨，废钢铁75.6吨，废纸15吨，杂骨54.7吨，废苘麻18.6吨。1984年，县物资局设立废旧物资回收公司，回收工厂的边角料、废旧机械和机车。1990年，回收823吨。
