    微山县境内的旱灾，多发生在海拔40.0米以上的低山丘陵区，滨湖洼地发生较少。1959～1990年，全年性的干旱发生5次，平均6年一遇；全年性的严重干旱发生3次，平均10年一遇。1989年，全年降雨597.7毫米。南阳、独山、昭阳3湖全部干涸，微山湖仅剩32.6万亩水面。南四湖干涸面积148.8万亩，占南四湖总面积的82%。
