    1977年10月，县标准计量所成立。1990年1月，撤销标准计量所，成立技术监督局，1993年12月撤销，区经济委员会设技术监督科。1994年4月，复设区技术监督局。1995年底，任城区技术监督局内设人秘、标准化、计量管理、质量监督、法制、财务6个科，共有干部职工38人。辖计量检定测试所、产品质量监督检验所和技术监督稽查队。
