    1951年2月，济宁县设统计组，1952年12月，撤组设科。1954年4月，改为计划统计科。1955年6月，改称计划统计委员会。1956年9月，计划、统计分置，设统计科。1958年7月，撤科设局，11月，并入济宁市统计局。1965年5月，计划委员会兼管统计。1968年5月，县革命委员会生产指挥部设计划统计组。1970年3月，改称计划统计办公室，1979年1月撤销，统计工作由计划委员会负责。1981年4月，复设统计局。1995年底，任城区统计局内设人秘、综合、农业、工业、贸易5个科和农村经济抽样调查队。设局长1人，副局长3人，共有干部职工14人。
