    1958年5月5日，济宁市节育委员会成立。1963年3月，建立济宁市计划生育委员会。1973年3月，改称济宁市计划生育工作委员会。1975年12月，改称计划生育领导小组办公室。1978年8月至1980年10月，改称计划生育办公室。1981年12月，设立计划生育局。1984年6月，改称市中区计划生育委员会。1995年，在编干部职工37人。
