　　德日侵占期间，铁路运输以军运为主。1910年，高密站客运（发送和到达）142110人次，货运（发送和到达）27533吨。1923年，中华民国政府收回胶济路后，客货运输缓慢发展。1932年，高密站客运6989人次，货运77913吨。
　　新中国建立后，客货运量迅速增长，部分年份客运量、货运量如表。
