　　清末德国为掠夺山东资源，强修胶济铁路。1899年6月修至姚哥庄。1901年12月，高密境内线路修成。东自墨水河中桥（距铁路起点83.8公里），西至官河中桥（距起点115.45公里），长31.65公里。
　　解放战争期间，铁路交通中断。1949年6月2日青岛解放后，铁路修复，7月1日全线通车。1980年3月，胶济铁路复线高密路段动工修建，1983年12月完成。
