　　金银是国际贸易的支付货币和工业生产不可缺少的重要材料。中华人民共和国建立后，禁止金、银在市场流通，民间贮藏者，由银行按国家牌价统一收兑。经鉴别真伪、成色质量，公平论价，专帐记载，专人保管，定期上解。昌邑县银行1951年收兑银元1973牧、白银77086两、赤金1两、色金1833两。以后每年都有收兑、上解。
