　　1959年8月，县民政局办盲人学校1处，招收盲人学员18名。1960年民政局与教育局在城南关头合办盲聋哑学校1处，与盲人学校合并，共收盲聋哑学生30人，配备专业教师6人。该校以学习文化知识为主，还开展勤工俭学，增加经济收入，解决了学员的学习和生活费用。1962年秋停办。
