　　解放前重男轻女，女性病亡和饿死者多于男性，性别比例男多于女。1589年（明万历十七年）全县有男性32081人，女性14686人，男性比女性高1倍多。民国期间战事不断，男性战亡者多，女性又多于男性。1936年（民国25年）总人口中男性占47.84％，女性占52.16％。1949年建国后，社会环境安定，性别比例渐趋平衡。1956年至1985年，男性一直略多于女性。
