　　“重修潍阳书院记”碑文载：“书院设掌教（即山长、院长）1人，主持讲学。山长俱由本县绅衿保举本境或邻县举人、进士之有德行文学者主讲，地方官不得自荐亲友”。山长年薪二百千文。1895年（清光绪二十一年）后。每年加薪十千文。
