　　1953年，市检察署开始进行法纪检察。1956至1965年，共受理侵犯人权、违犯政府法令、失职渎职、隐匿毁弃信件责任事故、奸污、贪污偷盗等法纪案件198起，依法批捕案犯71人。1980至1983年共受理法纪案件68起，立案查处30起，批捕案犯9人。1984至1989年，潍城区人民检察院共受理法纪案件150起，立案查处的53起，依法批捕案犯20人。其中1986年依法立案查处的潍坊毛纺织厂原料科科长120万元特大玩忽职守案，被山东省人民检察院作为开展法纪检察工作的经验推广。
