　　1931年10月，潍县度量衡检定分所成立。1933年后撤销，度量衡业务移交县政府第四科（建设科）代办，抗日战争时废止。
　　1949年12月13日成立潍坊市人民政府工商局度量衡检定所。此后，该所几易其名，隶属关系亦多次变更。1984年1月，行政体制改革后，潍城区工业产品质量监督检验由潍坊市标准计量局代管。1986年潍城区设计量局，1990年改称潍城区技术监督局。
